How is it POSSIBLE today is already day 5 using Ketopia? I am already ½ way through my first 10-Day Reset program of Ketopia….and have committed to do 30 days straight. My goal is to lose 20 lbs. in this time frame and I believe I will.

What will be my results at the end of Day 10? Stay tuned…..I WILL compare my Before Picture (yikes), Day 3 and Day 10 pictures and share my weight loss as well as inch loss. As for today, after 4 full days on Ketopia I have lost 4 pounds! They say most people average 1 lb. or 1.5 lbs. per day weight loss. Many drop considerably more in their first 1-5 days, but stabilize off at this slower and steady pace. (I’d be happy with 1 lb. per day!) and yes ladies…prepare for it- men DO tend to lose weight quicker so I’m trying NOT to get upset that Dave has dropped 5 lbs. in 2 days while I have dropped 4 lbs. in 4 days!

To give you a heads up warning…my comparison pictures I will post at Day 10 are of me in a tight black “skort” (skirt with built in shorts) with a jog bra. (Something to look forward to, lol) The pictures are taken in a sideways view- totally relaxed with nothing being held in. I realize I am SO accustomed to holding in my belly that when I actually saw these pictures in a fully relaxed state I cried. I really did!

When I say this I mean it- this is the easiest and simplest program I have EVER BEEN ON IN MY LIFE….and the results are already promising. Today I awoke fully rested with SO much energy and clarity. Could it be that “I have arrived” or as Ron Williams says, crossed the bridge? And that YOU’LL KNOW WHEN YOU ARE THERE? We had two team calls that Dave ran and HE was extremely clear on the calls. Truth be told, during both calls I multi-tasked and cleaned our entire 5 LEVEL ski condo (minus vacuuming as it would’ve made too much noise) AND I did a load of laundry. That is not my typical Saturday morning routine but I had energy to burn…..

And then Dave suggested we play tennis. Honestly, because of HIS energy and clarity I took a SolarStrip and put on half PowerStrips below my belly to give me the added edge of energy and blood flow. This afternoon our granddaughters ages 3 and 7 arrived late afternoon for dinner and the night and as always we had a great time. DSC01229Thanks to feeling full and having no cravings it wasn’t difficult smelling their freshly popped popcorn at movie time or when they had their little sundae cup of ice cream. Normally I eat their left overs or finish the snacks they can’t finish. Not tonight! My goal is by the time I have gone through 20 days on Ketopia I won’t even mind putting on my swimsuit and going to the pool with them. I do it now but I wear what most women consider their friend -“a sari cloth wrap around the waist”. Right ladies?

Slept soundly, other than a couple of bathroom breaks….. I’ve upped my water in the past to 1/2 oz per body weight and remember it took a couple of days for my body to get used to it and stop having to use the bathroom so often. I expect today to match my number of bathroom trips as I did yesterday. Thinking of mounting my iPad on the wall behind the toilet, so I can get caught up on my reading. I believe I could finish a couple of books this week.

DOWN 5 lbs in the first 48 hours!

Look slimmer….. although I didn’t really seem to notice improvement in my tennis game this morning. I’m thinking because I weigh less, I’m maybe a 1/2 step faster and have to compensate for the change in aerodynamics…….. Oh, never mind….

Enjoyed the KetonX drink even more this morning. Just mixed a packet of KetonX with cold water and sipped it for 45 minutes while I fixed a problem with this website….. I touched something I shouldn’t have yesterday in the css files….. But I digress…

The most surprising thing for me has been the lack of cravings. That is awesome. Not to feel like I’m missing something. I believe staying on this Ketopia 10 Day Reset will be easier than anything I’ve ever done in the past.

indexHeard a comment yesterday about being careful not to drink too much water as you can deplete your sodium and potassium in the body. Here’s what I found… The KetonX drink has 850 mg of Sodium (which is 35% of RDA=Recommended Daily Allowance) and 1120 mg of Potassium (32% of RDA) FIXX has Sodium 190 mg (8% of RDA) and 800 mg of Potassim (22% of RDA) And I add a pinch of salts with dinner….. I don’t see this as an issue. Keep your water intake to 1/2 oz per lb of body weight. I keep refilling a 20 oz water bottle and drink 6 of those daily.

One of the results I am waiting for is the feeling of energy that others have talked about. It seems to show up between Day 2 and Day 4. I have notice that by just being off grains, my breathing is better and I didn’t feel congested in the early afternoon after my typical lunches.

Crazy. I’m always hungry! Today I had KetonX Drink, 1 Dough Bite, FIXX shake, 2 String Cheese….. We decided we might want to make dinner…. I didn’t see the point. I eat cause I’m hungry, not because of the time of day…..

Grilled 2 chicken breasts drizzling small chunks of Blue Cheese on them (OMG), along with a grilled Zucchini (halved) with oil, garlic, salt and pepper, added a medium salad with Blue Cheese dressing…. Tasted wonderful, only had 1/2 a breast…. felt satisfied….

Could the Ketopia Reset really be a “Reset” ? Its looking that way guys!

 

Day 2 – I ended at 242.5 lbs., Lost 2 additional lbs today for a total of 5 lbs in 48 hours.

Not hungry, no cravings, and feel great! I look and more importantly, feel smaller!

Ketopia” states “YOU’LL KNOW WHEN YOU ARE THERE”….and I am beginning to understand what that means! Last night I was WIDE awake- energy surging through me- my mind active with excitement of Ketopia working and being EASY…. Down 3.5 lbs. and today I’ll compare (side by side) my beginning picture and my end of 3 Day picture. It’s more about how I FEEL and LOOK than the scales, but honestly I still want to drop 20 lbs. within 30 days!!! Maybe it’s a female thing! Woman on Scale

Yes, last night while Dave was fast asleep I tossed and turned….watched the clock read 12:40, 1:11, 2:45, 3:33 and then finally- I had a stint of sound sleep until 6:30 am. On Ketopia, with the WATER and FAT BURNING I was in and out of the bathroom many times throughout the night!!! At around 3:30 believe it or not I actually dropped down and did 10 pushups….to shift my energy. Then I went to the refrigerator and got a spoonful of almond butter. It worked. I fell asleep soon after. KEY HERE: Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water but prepared to be up many times in the middle of the night!

My day? GREAT day! This plan is the easiest and least complicated I have ever done…..and I’ve done some doozies over the years- mainly in the past 5 years! My morning started with ½ hour of tennis and then I picked up my two granddaughters, ages 3 and 7. Once again, no urges to eat their left over grill cheese crusts like usual or their fresh fruit cut up that they didn’t want. I think part of this is that I had the Doughbite ½ hour before preparing their lunch and it cures any cravings or pangs of hunger. For sure I’ll be buying them in bulk next month when they are available outside the 10-Day RESET- just to have on hand!!!!

A busy day for sure but no “DRAG in my SWAG”! When Dave asked if I was up for another ½ hour of tennis at 5 pm I was! Usually I am dragging by this time – especially after having my granddaughters here all day….AND by the bewitching hour of 5 pm, especially on a Friday, I would have already uncorked a bottle of chilled white wine. No urges to blow my 10 days!!!!

I did have a couple sips of coffee this morning with heavy cream and stevia and it tasted HORRIBLE. I’m not sure if it is because I normally have coffee with International Delight “dessert cream” but there was no way I could continue with what I had poured! Maybe along with this 10-Day RESET- the Ketopia is also resetting my taste buds to prefer healthier things! Fabulous Benefit!!!!

I have to say, my side by side pictures put together today DO show a slight change in body fat around the belly in particular and I certainly feel lighter and less ‘doughy’ around the middle. I am grateful to have found Ketopia and have the ability to share with thousands of people who can benefit, for both their health and also their appearance. I joke that I should have put on sunglasses and a straw beach hat to disguise myself in my BEFORE picture, but I believe if I am authentic and share MY experience, good or bad- it will help others believe that they too can do Ketopia with ease and success and enjoy the long term benefits of being healthier.

Oh My!!!! I am feeling GREAT!!! Slept well last night except for the multiple times I had to use the bathroom. Typically when my body has begun to drop weight in the past I do have to get up more in the night….but the inconvenience is worth it. Also I increased my water by at least 4x of what I had been consuming on a typical day.

Day 2- what was it like?

Upon waking I used a Ketostix and noticed my urine still had a trace of ketones- which was encouraging. Around 7 am I enjoyed my KetonX drink – sipped it over a 30 minute time frame. 1 hour later my Ketostix showed my body was already in the deeper maroon color

which is between moderate and large. Gotta love the visuals. Ketostix after 1 hour day 2

I think one of the most exciting things today was I dropped 2.5 pounds and Dave encouraged me to do my measurements. When I got up he noticed that I looked smaller, especially in the places where I have been storing fat. I am quite motivated and I am beginning to feel different. How is that possible after only ONE day???? My body must be happy to be utilizing my readily available FAT for energy.

Energy is HIGH…. Since it is a “program” my KetonX, Doughbites and FIXX were per usual according to the plan. Today I did add, mid-afternoon with my FIXX shake a celery stick with a cheese stick IN THE “LOG” which offered a delightful crunch and satiety. Also an hour later, I had celery with almond butter! Yes it is legal. According to Michelle Lasueur who helped formulate this program, one should strive to have 50 grams of carbs per day….. Some people do better with a little less, and some need a little bit more. When YOU do the Ketopia, will find what works best for you! (THIS is exactly what Michelle emailed me regarding carbs per day: “You want to strive for 50 but may have to go lower. Just see how you do. Some can go higher and some go lower. Everyone is so unique.)

I delighted in transferring marbles into my glass as I lose weight. 1 marble per pound….from a fat squat glass to a tall and skinny one. Though I dropped 2.5 pounds I transferred 2 marbles. I am looking forward to transferring marbles each and every day!Marbles day 2

No one can say the word deprivation with regards to KETOPIA. Our dinner is what I usually eat…..Salmon patty, LARGE salad with many greens and steamed broccoli with garlic butter drizzled on the top! The only thing that is not on the menu per usual, is a large glass of wine. BUT….ya know what, I don’t even miss it. Truly- not one bit! (shocker for sure!)

We just got notice that our KETOPIA order is being shipped to us overnight!!!! It certainly has its benefits of being ‘5 Star or higher’ and going to the Ketopia launch. Dave will begin tomorrow morning- which will be fun to do together.

Dave and I are business partners, husband and wife and best friends. It will be fun to do Ketopia together. Four years ago at age 54 we did P90X and rocked our results in 90 Days….and we truly believe that we will reach similar weight loss in just 30 days or less with KETOPIA…. plus reset our bodies at the same time for long term fat-loss! As with any program it is important to stay active so we have been playing tennis each day.

Joy’s Journey with Ketopia Begins…..Day 1

Today is Day 1 on KETOPIA. Yesterday was a bitter-sweet day as I took my BEFORE pictures, weighed myself, took measurements and calculated my BMI and % Body Fat. At age 58 I really didn’t expect to look the way I do today. I have always been athletic, muscular and lean- and yet in the last 4 years….due to several factors, (I am sure menopause being the main reason) my body took on a different ‘look’. It certainly did not excite me! I have honestly felt like a foreigner in my own body! It’s no wonder I live in yoga pants….(even though I don’t do yoga (lol) they are comfortable and have a very forgiving stretch to them!) because this feeling really sucks

I could not WAIT to begin my first 10-Day Reset of Ketopia…and there are literally thousands of others out there waiting for their product and equally as excited. Since I would like to drop (forever!) 20 pounds I am planning on doing 3 10-Day Reset with Ketopia back to back. So today is the first step in my Ketopia Journey.Ketopia visual now

UP early…..and began my day in a very different way. Rather than a cup of hot coffee with my “International Delight cream” I began with a glass of water and them KetonX.

I had never tried the KetonX drink before so was pleasantly surprised with the taste and ease in preparing it. (Just add water!) I drank my KetonX drink at 7:30 am this morning and it truly was delicious, just like everyone said. If you can imagine a creamsicle flavor….you’ll understand. I generally don’t “sip” my drinks but was compliant and I ‘nursed’ the KetonX (in 10-12 ounces of water) over a 45 min. time frame.

Then we played tennis for 30 min. or so. I am not sure if that would hinder going into Ketosis or not…..but it is our morning ritual and staying active is always smart on any nutritional ‘regime’.

At 2 hours after drinking the KetonX drink I was already in moderate Ketosis….exactly where I wanted to be! How do I know that? Well, in the Ketopia 10-Day Reset they include 10 Ketostix they they call PEETOPIASTIX. (We actually bought an additional container of 50 stix). Within 2 HOURS….isn’t that amazing???? I can see with the Ketostix that KETOPIA is already working. (Amotivation -for sure). KetonX drink

Then came the fun….. 3 hours after drinking the KetonX drink I enjoyed my daily Doughbites. It was delicious – has a unique texture, almost like taffy….sweet and filling. VERY satisfying. They describe the taste as ‘cookie dough’ – but the consistency was more like soft, sticky taffy. Very tasty…with little pieces of dark organic chocolate. For people with cravings for sweet things- this will definitely satisfy their sweet tooth!

2 pm and although I am not hungry I prepared my FIXX shake. I have enjoyed FIXX shakes over the years… it is made of dark chocolate and honestly one of the best tasting shakes I have ever tried. Even though I am not a chocolate lover, I love my FIXX! Most shakes are not flavorful or satisfying mixed simply with water, but this honestly is delicious. It actually is an ideal mid-afternoon pick-me-up. Typically in the past I have enjoyed it for breakfast but I am following the KETOPIA program exactly as suggested.FIXX SHAKE

This is a perfect system for me because I really don’t like to ‘SHOP and CHOP’….this is easy- EVERYTHING is in the 10-Day package except my dinner meal. How fabulous is that? Also when you calculate cost, Dave and I will SAVE $ being on the Ketopia program as we won’t be buying breakfast and lunch meals- or consuming coffee (Laites) or cocktails at night!

For my dinner meal…..I enjoyed ‘more or less’ the kind of dinner we always eat. Some protein- in this case I had baked wild salmon, with a little pesto on it- and a large salad…. with avocados, cukes, olive oil/Braggs/lemon juice. Yum. Who can ever say this is a program of deprivation? It is NOT!

Dinner time without a cocktail or glass of wine? You bet! There is NO WAY I am going to jepordize my results by going OUT of Ketosis! In fact, mid day around 3 pm I realized I hadn’t even missed my morning ritual of coffee! WOW! No craving whatsoever! My biggest concerns dedicating myself to the 10-Day Reset was giving up caffeine and alcohol…..most likely two of the culprits that got me fat in the first place. 🙂

To bed at a reasonable hour…..what a fabulous DAY 1 on Ketopia. My energy was high- I had zero cravings and zero hunger. I hope Day 2 is as good or better. Better would mean I dropped some fat weight over night….. til then….

We had a Problem – 3 Weeks to our Wedding and We Were Overweight

Could KETOPIA actually help us?

Every Bride and Groom wants to look and feel their best on their wedding day- would you agree? This is Dave and I when we met back in 2007. Like many people over the years we gained weight and were determined to rid it before getting married!

Back in 2014, a week before Dave and I got married we had the privilege of trying a ‘yet to be perfected’ version of Ketopia. We had seen Ron Williams on two occasions and noticed how trim he looked…it was obvious he had LOST WEIGHT and he looked vibrant with energy! He shared with us “shhhhh, it’s KETOPIA and it’s coming out in the future with FGXpress.” I couldn’t forget the obvious transformation he had made in a short time and literally BEGGED him – over and over again, by phone, text and email- to send whatever version he could get his hands on as Dave and I were getting married in several weeks. How to Drop the Body Fat

This morning I began reading an interesting book on metabolism titled Ultra-Metabolism, by Mark Hyman, MD. “We have evolved over hundreds of thousands of generations under conditions of food scarcity. The genes and molecules that control our eating behavior were shaped by those times. Our DNA(therefore) was designed for accumulating fat in the days when we had to forage for food in the wild.”I can’t seem to lose weight. Every time I diet, I put the weight back on. It doesn’t seem to matter what I eat, I still gain weight.
Ever heard any of those lines? Our bodies were designed over time and out of necessity to gather and store fat. It’s what caused us to survive!Once you understand this fact, you will begin to look at your body from a different perspective. It’s not working against you, it’s surviving. The crazy part is, it doesn’t have to survive any more. We can make it thrive. We just need to work within its old programing to have the body we want.If you’ve read the other posts here on Nutrition you can see that this truly is a “Fat Loss” discussion and not simply a “Weight Loss” discussion. Weight loss is what you hear about on TV and from friends, in articles in magazines and their mantra is Lower Calories = Less Weight ! If that is or was true, how has it worked for you? Most of us have been on a diet before(most of us, me included, have been on 10-20 diets, cleanses’, etc. over the years!) So, how has that approach worked? For me, not so good. Out of high school in the mid 1970′s (yes, I’m 54… thought I’d save you time!) I weighed 160 lbs., after 4 years of college I was at 180 lbs. Over the next 30 years I found my “set point” to be 232 – 245 lbs.
Excuses Why we Keep our Body FatOh, but I had excuses…. “I was working so much!” “We all get fatter as we get older.” “I’m big boned.” and our latest favoriate, “Winters are long here in Vermont!” …. yada, yada, yada….. See I had always operated from a Weight Loss mentality. The thought that I needed to take on LESS calories to weigh LESS. Seems to make sense UNTIL you take into account our DNA and how our bodies were trained over millions of years and have come to be.

The way to make your body THRIVE is to understand how to crank up your metabolism. Your body stores more fat if you eat less! (Back to survival) and 95% of all diets are about eating less. Our bodies know what to do with less……. it stores more fat and won’t give it up for anything!!!

Here’s the answer… you will have to eat more! Yep, I said it. Eat more. How much more? Here is a good rule of thumb.

Weight x 10 = RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate, which is how many calories you need to stay alive while you are sleeping) to that add 20% more for daily activities. So for me today 233 lbs. x 10 = 2330 calories + 466(20% of 233 lbs.)=2796 calories per day to maintain my current size without a workout. For me this was a huge number! I had been eating less than 1500 calories per day under the old idea that less calories = less weight! Well at nearly 2800 calories I started losing weight. More importantly, I started losing body fat! I lost 5% body fat in 5 weeks!

Some weeks I lost weight and other weeks I lost inches! I discovered a certain flow to my weight and fat loss…. It wasn’t a straight line, meaning it didn’t go down at a consistent 1-3 lbs. per week. So I found I needed to not only weigh myself regularly, but also to check body fat, try on my “tester” clothes, and take measurements. So, be flexible. Identify a success this today or this week! It may not be weight! The reality is, that the bathroom scale is likely not in your top 3 important ways to track your weight and fat loss. I find the top 3 to be

  1. How I feel
  2. How I look
  3. How my clothes fit

In fact, when I lost 5% body fat in those 5 weeks, it occurred to me that I didn’t care if I weighed 300 lbs, if I was lean, toned, cut, had high energy, etc. So identify and set real life goals and don’t get caught up in the images we all see in magazines & TV.

So, crank up your metabolism by eating enough food on a daily basis and lose the body fat !!
